About us
Jeweler Services
Jewelers Service Company was founded in 1939. It was purchased by Tim in 1988 and was passed onto us in July of 2024. Ryan56k LLC and Jewelers Service Company have now merged and become Jeweler Services.
Our company was born online with a passion to show people the behind the scenes story. We began live streaming our work on a platform called Twitch. Through this we were able to educate and involve our customers in the process of creating their jewelry.
Our goal is to create a place where people want to visit and work. Ryan will talk your ear off about the difference between each tourmaline while Tou walks you through the creative process of a repair. We value educating our customers, because if you understand the process then you can make the right decision. All a jeweler has is their reputation and we are always improving ours through quality and education.

I grew up in the cities and am proud to call Minnesota my home. I've always been "facet-nated" with gems and jewelry since I was young. In all the video games I played (big nerd here) I always wanted to be a goldsmith or gem cutter. When I turned 15 my father decided to purchase a Facetron (gem faceting machine) and we learned how to use it together. As the years go on I continue to improve my skills and fall in love with the idea that I am creating something that will outlive me and be treasured by others.
In my mid twenties I decided to chase my jewelry dream and began introducing myself to all the local goldsmiths in town seeking an apprenticeship. After many introductions I was finally taken in and taught what it means to be a goldsmith.
Fast forward to 2021 where I met Tou Yang, my business partner. Together we started Ryan56k LLC and began creating and repairing jewelry together in a garage. In 2024 we purchased Jewelers Service Company and are continuing our passion of creating and repairing things that have so much meaning to others and will outlive us.

My Jewelry journey began in Laos, learning from my family. This was cut short when we immigrated to the United States to escape the Vietcong and Communist Laos. I arrived in the U.S. with my family in 1987 and helped build a small jewelry business, which allowed us to get on our feet.
In 1999 I joined the Army National Guard. I was deployed to Iraq in 2006 and followed in my father's footsteps to protect my country. I was discharged in 2009 with ten and a half years of service. I chose to continue my family's legacy and re-entered the jewelry industry in 2001.
2021 Ryan approached me with the idea of starting our own trade shop. Wanting to be able to pass on something I'm proud of creating to my children as my parents tried for us, I hopped on board. Now I get to create things that many families cherish. I love being a part of something that is so special and means so much to people.
